Course overview:

This course has been developed to give the learner knowledge and skills to better understand the term Care and to define the roles and responsibilities of a quality Care Worker. The course has been mapped around the standards of the Social Care Worker' Code of Conduct set by Care Wales and will teach the learner boundaries and expectations whilst working in the care sector.

Course learning outcomes:

By the end of the day, learners will be able to:
• Define the term Care
• Describe the term Care Worker
• List the roles and responsibilities of the Care worker
• Describe the term Person Centered Care Values
• Cite the difference between Values and Principles
• List the values applicable to care
• Explain how care values reference to the Care Wales SCW code of practice
• Explain Abraham Maslow' hierarchy of needs
• Describe the term Person Centered Planning
• Discuss the process involved of Person-Centered Planning
• Carry out a Person-Centered plan.
